Project Overview:
Starting in 2013 was the Curtis Island Gas Project, consisting of APLNG/QCLNG/GLNG.
Foxheat was involved in constructing all three jetties for each Gas Plant using Induction Heating on all of the Headstocks, with the project lasting approximately 14 months. Foxheat went on to Preheat the GLNG flare line followed by PWHT of the QCLNG delivery station. Other works involved pipework at the Narrows under water crossing.
One of the largest jobs for Foxheat on Curtis Island was at GLNG, where Foxheat were tasked with Preheating sections of the six molecular Dehydrator Vessels and four of the Mercury Recovery Vessels, commonly known as the “brothers and sisters”. This was a huge undertaking, consisting of 8 months of repairs followed by Post-weld heat treatment of each vessel. Foxheat successfully executed this job due to having Queensland Government Authority to use and take portable Gas Burners onto site.
The project was completed on time and to specification, which is a proud accomplishment for the Foxheat team to date.
